PROPER DRESS IS REQUIRED IN COURT

All requirements pertain to both adult and juvenile males and females unless otherwise noted.  Failure to comply may result in the resetting of the case to a later date, or in the extreme, contempt of court.

No shorts

No exposed midriffs

No clothing displaying offensive words or pictures (the Court retains the exclusive right to define “offensive” on an individual basis)

No hats

Officers of the Court are held to the higher standards generally recognized in Texas Courts; dress accordingly to the dignity and respect of the Court.


PLEASE NOTE WHEN CONTACTING A COURT

"A judge shall not initiate, permit, or consider ex parte or other communications made to the judge outside the presence of the parties....concerning the merits of a pending or impending judicial proceeding. A judge shall require compliance with this subsection by court personnel subject to his or her direction and control..." Code of Judicial Conduct, Canon 3, Section B. (8).
